Cryo Mix is a browser toolbox aimed at producers and vocalists, with a strong rap and hip hop lean in everything it publishes. You can upload a vocal plus a beat, up to 32 stems, or a single stereo file for mastering. After the first automatic mix you steer it two ways: a chat assistant called Nova, which takes instructions like "bring the vocal forward and tighten the low end" and explains what it changed, and an advanced mode with more than 30 manual parameters across EQ, compression, saturation, limiting and stereo width. Pricing is credit based. At the time of writing, Essential is 19 dollars a month for 5 credits, Creator 24 dollars for 10, Pro 39 dollars for 30. A credit is spent when you download; previews are full length and free, and unused credits roll over while you stay subscribed.
What Bandmixr is
Bandmixr is an engine rather than a toolbox. You upload your files, up to 16 on the free plan and 24 on paid, pick one of eleven genre profiles, and the engine does the whole job: it analyzes each stem, builds the level hierarchy, EQs and pans per instrument, resolves frequency clashes between them, applies genre-appropriate compression and space, and masters to the loudness preset you choose. A finished beat or backing track is detected as such and passed through untouched, so a vocal-over-beat session is handled the way a producer would handle it: work on the vocal, leave the beat alone. Steering happens after the fact and with faders rather than sentences: per-stem level, pan, reverb and mute, plus an A/B against the original. There is no chat assistant, no advanced mode with 30 knobs, no pitch correction and no plugin. If you want to turn those knobs yourself, Cryo Mix is the better product for you, and we would rather say that here than have you find out after signing up.
What Bandmixr has instead is a flat plan. The free tier gives you full mixes and one free download. Creator is 14 dollars a month with unlimited downloads and reference matching for mastering. Pro is 19 dollars with more storage, processed stem exports and priority processing. Without a subscription, extra downloads cost 5 dollars each. Two free tools run entirely in your browser with no upload and no account: a rehearsal cutter that splits a long recording into songs, and a mix analyzer that checks loudness, true peak, clipping and stereo problems.
The price question, done honestly
Credits versus flat rate is not about which number is smaller. It is about how you work.
If you revise a lot, flat wins. A typical release involves three or four downloads: the first mix, a version with the vocal up 1 dB, a version after you re-recorded the hook, the final. On credits, every one of those costs one. On Creator at 14 dollars, all of them cost nothing extra.
If you release rarely, credits look cheaper on paper because they roll over. One song every three months on Cryo Essential means 19 dollars a month for credits you mostly bank. The same person on Bandmixr pays nothing until the download, then 5 dollars for the song, with no subscription at all.
If you release constantly, say a producer finishing two or three tracks a week, both work out, and the decision comes down to whether you want the toolbox or the engine.
Which one for which person
Pick Cryo Mix if you like steering a mix with words and knobs, you want pitch correction, separation and mixing in one place, you work in a DAW and want the plugin, or you make rap vocals over beats and want a tool whose whole culture is built around that.
