What Bandmixr does to your stems
Balances the levels
Vocals sit on top, drums and bass hold the song together, and nothing gets lost or sticks out.
Shapes every stem
EQ and compression per stem, so each instrument sounds clear and leaves room for the others.
Places it in stereo
Every stem gets its spot from left to right, with the low end and the lead vocal in the center.
Adds studio effects
From the right reverb to warmth and punch, Bandmixr adds the effects a mix engineer would, so your song sounds finished, not thrown together.
Masters for release
A finished master at the loudness you choose, ready for Spotify, Apple Music and the rest. Download it as WAV, FLAC or MP3.
Lets you fine-tune
Turn any stem up or down, mute it, change its reverb or move it left or right, then hear the change.
Made for your kind of song
Vocals over a beat
A bought or self-made beat plus your vocal takes, for rap, R&B and pop. Upload the beat as one file and each vocal take as its own stem: lead, doubles, ad-libs.
Bands
Multitrack recordings from the studio or the rehearsal room, every instrument on its own stem. Up to 24 stems, from drums and bass to guitars, keys and vocals.
Songs from your DAW
Export the stems of a song you produced and let Bandmixr finish the mix. Works with stems from Logic Pro, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Pro Tools, Cubase, Reaper, GarageBand or BandLab.
Home recordings
Guitar and voice, piano and voice, or a full song recorded in your bedroom.
Live and jam recordings
Cut a long recording into songs with the free Rehearsal Cutter, then mix each one.
Songs made with AI
Stems exported from AI music tools, mixed like any other stems. For example the stems Suno or Udio split a song into.

Frequently asked questions
Getting started
Bandmixr currently supports Rock/Indie, Pop, Acoustic, Punk, Metal, Jazz, Blues, Funk/Soul, Reggae/Dub, Hip Hop, and Electronic. If your genre is not listed, choose "General / Not sure" and Bandmixr will apply a balanced, genre-neutral mix.
Upload your individual stems (drums, bass, guitar, vocals, etc.), pick a genre, and Bandmixr takes it from there. Every stem is analyzed individually, and a custom mix plan is built based on what each track needs and how it fits with the rest. Frequency clashes between instruments are resolved automatically so nothing fights for the same space. The result is a balanced, polished mix shaped by your chosen genre.
Yes. After the initial draft mix is generated, you can review and adjust individual stem levels, reverb, and panning preferences before exporting the final mix.
After your final mix is created, you can apply mastering with one click. Choose between three presets: Streaming (optimized for platforms like Spotify and Apple Music), Standard (a balanced middle ground), or Loud (maximum punch and density). You can also upload a reference track to guide the mastering toward a sound you like. If you already have your own mix, you can skip the mixing step entirely and upload it straight to Bandmixr for mastering only.
Yes. Go to your project, open the Final Mixes tab, and click "Upload Mix" to upload your own stereo mix. Once uploaded, click the Master button on that mix to choose a mastering preset and optionally attach a reference track. Your mix will be mastered the same way as an auto-generated one.
Final mixes are exported as 44.1kHz/24-bit WAV. You can also download as FLAC or MP3.
Yes. All stems must start at the same point and be the same length so they stay in sync during mixing. When exporting from your DAW, make sure every stem starts at bar one and runs to the end of the song.
Free projects support up to 16 stems, while Creator and Pro plans support up to 24 stems. Most projects have 4 to 16 stems, but the system handles larger track counts just fine.
When you master a mix on the Creator or Pro plan, you can upload a reference track: a released song whose sound you want to get close to. Bandmixr analyses the reference, compares its tonal balance across nine frequency bands and its stereo width with your mix, and shapes the EQ and width of your master toward it. It deliberately does not copy the loudness or compression of the reference; those follow the mastering preset you choose, so your master stays clean instead of crushed. The reference file is used only for that mastering job and is not stored.
Yes. Every song Bandmixr produces is mixed and mastered at a loudness that suits its genre and what streaming services expect, with a safety margin on the peaks so it will not distort after the platforms convert it. You can upload the download straight to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube or your distributor without any extra processing. If you want it louder, click Create Master on the finished song and pick the Loud preset.
Drop your stems into the box at the top of this page and sign in. Bandmixr creates the song, uploads the stems and names each one from its file name. Check the labels, start the mix, and you get a mixed and a mastered version to listen to, fine-tune and download.
One file per vocal or instrument, all exported from the start of the song with the same length. Keep the effects you want on the stems, but take the limiter off your master bus. A beat plus separate vocal takes works too.Guide: how to export stems from your DAW
The label tells Bandmixr what each stem is, a lead vocal, a kick or a bass for example, and that decides how it is mixed. Bandmixr guesses the labels from the file names; you confirm or correct them before the mix.
Mixing needs the separate stems, because a finished stereo file cannot be rebalanced. If you only have the finished song, check it in the free Mix Analyzer and let Bandmixr master it.Check and master a finished song

Yes. Drums, bass, guitars, keys and vocals, each on its own stem, are exactly what Bandmixr was built for. Long rehearsal or live recordings can be cut into songs first with the free Rehearsal Cutter.Cut long recordings into songs for free
Yes. Export every track as a stem from your DAW and upload them. Bandmixr mixes and masters the song without you having to learn mixing, and you can still adjust each stem afterwards.Guide: mix a song from your DAW without learning to mix
Yes. Export the stems from Suno and upload them like any other stems. Generated stems often bleed into each other, so check each label before you start the mix.
Compared with others
An automatic mix gets you a balanced, release-ready result much faster and for far less money, and you can fine-tune every stem. A good engineer still brings personal taste and creative ideas. Our guide compares both.Guide: AI mixing vs a human engineer
Bandmixr mixes from your stems and masters in the same step. You can listen to the mix for free before you download, fine-tune every stem, and nothing you upload is ever used to train AI. Our comparison goes through the details.Guide: the best AI mixing and mastering services compared
